Dr. Dipu Moni Inaugurated the Academic Activities of Chandpur University of Science and Technology

On Saturday, May 20, 2023, the Academic Activities of the Chandpur University of Science and Technology was inaugurated and the fresh students were received by the Minister of Education Dr. Deepu Moni at Chandpur District Shilpakala Academy Auditorium. Chandpur University of Science and Technology Vice-Chancellor Dr. Md. Nasim Akhtar, State Minister for Planning Dr. Shamsul Alam, Member of Bangladesh University Grant Commission Dr. Dil Afroza Begum and Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology Dr. Habibur Rahman were also present at the event.

While speaking as the chief guest, the Education Minister said that we want to achieve quality standards in every field of education including higher education. We are at the forefront of efforts to transform education around the world. We have already launched our new curriculum. Through which students will learn to think and solve problems, they will be thoughtful and they will be human creative people. Our students are very talented.

The minister said that, in the world now, more emphasis is being placed on cooperation than competition. So we need to provide opportunities for students to learn through collaboration. Now the method of education has been changed i.e. learning by sharing experience and learning to apply it.

She said to the students, “Learn to apply what you learn. When it comes to higher education, whether you enter the world of work when you graduate, whether you enter as an entrepreneur or an employee, are you prepared? And the credit of the university will be there if the university can make you an entrepreneur and a successful professional. And for this, the university has to come out of the traditional teaching and curriculum and provide teaching and training according to the fourth industrial revolution that we are talking about”.

Journalist Rafiqul Islam Babur also spoke at the event - Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kamrul Hasan, Superintendent of Police (SP) Md. Milan Mahmud, and Municipal Mayor Md. Zillur Rahman, Ekushey Medalist Professor Gautam Buddha, Swadhinota Medalist Dr. Syeda Badrunnahar Chowdhury.
